The Government of Madhya Pradesh on April 24, 2023, issued the Gwalior Vyapar Mela Pradhikaran (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2023 to further amend the Gwalior Vyapar Mela Pradhikaran Adhiniyam, 1996.
The following amendment has been stated:
• In Section 12, the words "shall be punishable on conviction with a fine which may extend to five thousand rupees and where the offense is continuing or recurring one with a further fine which may extend to rupees one hundred for every day after the date of first conviction during which the offender is proved to have persisted in such offense", the words "the Authority shall impose a fine which may extend to five thousand rupees, and where the act is continuing or recurring one, with a further fine may extend to one hundred rupees for each day from the date of the first act" has been substituted.
