The Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) on April 25, 2023, issued the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and the UT of Ladakh (Electricity Trading) Regulations, 2023.
The following has been stated namely: -
• These Regulations shall be applicable to Trading within the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir & Union Territory of Ladakh
• The Eligibility Conditions for being an Electricity Trader have been stated
• The Procedure for the Grant of a Licence for Trading has been stated
• The Duties and Obligations of the Licensee are stated
This shall come into force on April 25, 2023
