The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on April 27, 2023, issued a notification regarding Market Making framework in Equity Derivatives Segment
This has a reference to Exchange notice number 20230327-65 dated March 27, 2023, informing market participants regarding revision in contract specifications of S&P BSE SENSEX and S&P BSE BANKEX derivatives contracts in the equity derivatives segment.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Trading members are requested to note that the Exchange will introduce a framework for members willing to act as Market Makers in the equity derivatives segment starting from May 15, 2023. The list of securities eligible under the market-making framework is listed as follows: -
(i) S&P BSE SENSEX Futures
(ii) S&P BSE SENSEX Options
(iii) S&P BSE BANKEX Futures
(iv) S&P BSE BANKEX Options
• The Trading members are requested to refer to the attached annexure for detailed guidelines on the market-making framework.
• The Members can register as Market Makers in the Equity Derivatives segment by submitting their application through the BEFS portal starting from May 08, 2023
