The Government of Andhra Pradesh on April 27, 2023, prohibited the strikes in the essential services under the control of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Tirupati for a period of 6 months with effect from May 24, 2023, to November 23, 2023.
The following is included in the essential services - Water Works Department, Electricity Department, Health and Sanitation Department, Medical Department, Engineering Department (Maintenance Section), Transport Department, Canteen Department including M.T.V. Annaprasada Complex, Vigilance and Security Department, S.V.Dairy Farm (S.V. Gosamrakshanasala) Temple Administration (Queue Complex, Temple, Potu, Local Temples), Kalyanakatta Complex, Reception at Tirupati and Tirumala.
