The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPS&W) on April 26, 2023, issued a notification to amend the Guidelines for Shipbuilding Financial Assistance Policy (SBFAP).
The following amendments have been made to the guidelines:
• Following types of vessels have been added to the list of specialized vessels as mentioned in Schedule-Il of the guidelines: Wind Turbine Installation Vessels; Self Propelled semi-submersible Heavy Lift & Heavy Transport vessels; Windfarm service & Maintenance Vessels and Cable Laying Vessels
• The definition of the specialized vessel in para 2(n) of the guidelines has been changed
• At S. No. 11 in Schedule-Il of guidelines, the term "classified by the IACS members" has been crossed.
Accordingly, the guidelines for Shipbuilding Financial Assistance Policy (SBFAP) have been amended and a copy of the same is attached to the document.
