The Municipal Corporation Rudrapur, Uttar Pradesh on May 01, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Draft Dog licensing bye-laws 2023
These bye-laws shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Uttarakhand Gazette
The following has been stated namely: -
• It has defined various definitions such as “Municipal Corporation”, “Municipal Commissioner”, “Domesticated Dog” etc.
• It states that every dog of every month of 3 months or more within the limits of the Municipal Corporation Rudrapur will be necessary to register in I the office of the Municipal Corporation.
• It states that the certificate of vaccination of dogs with anti-rabies vaccine with the application form and the aadhar card of the owner has been submitted so that the owner of the dog shall be fully responsible for any kind of incident such as bite, injury, etc. caused due to the registered do
• It states that the registration shall be renewed every year in the month of April and the application shall be sent along with the prescribed fee, the registration up to 3 months from the scheduled period, and in case of non-renewal a late fee of Rs. 100 shall be payable every 3 months
• It states that the registration shall e canceled if the registration is not renewed every month and then a registration fee of Rs. 700 shall be payable on the registration.
• It states that once the registration is done a token shall be given to the owner that will be always available around the neck of the dog.
• The owner of the dog shall not allow his dog in public places such as Temples, Mosque, Gurudwara, churches, etc., and shall not be taken for defecation, in case the owner of the dog is found violating this rule shall be liable for a fine of Rs. 500 and the license shall be canceled.
• It shall be mandatory for every dog owner to build a wall for the dog rearing
Objections or suggestions if any in relation to this draft shall be submitted within 30 days of the publication of this draft in the Uttarakhand Gazette
Objections or suggestions if any shall be submitted to the Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Rudrapur.
