The Government of Haryana on May 01, 2023, issued the AYUSH Medical Reimbursement Policy and will be governed by the Punjab Medical Attendance Rules, 1940, and regulations/instructions issued thereof from time to time.
In this policy, the fixed rate packages have been stated for various procedures, such as Panchkarma, Ayurvedic Surgery (Gynaecology, Eye/ENT, General Surgery) & Para-Surgery, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani & Siddha, and a list of medicines admissible for reimbursement and empanelment of private AYUSH Hospitals.
The following Reimbursement of AYUSH treatment can be availed at Govt. AYUSH Hospital:
• Complete reimbursement will be allowed for indoor treatment availed at all the Government Hospitals located within the State of Haryana; for Ayurveda/ Unani/ Sidha/ Yoga/ Naturopathy procedures, at the existing rates being charged.
• Complete reimbursement will be allowed for indoor treatment availed at all the Government Hospitals located outside the state of Haryana, as per existing rates charged by the concerned hospital, subject to the condition that the claimant would produce a certificate from the Medical Superintendent/Head of the Institution declaring it as a Government AYUSH Hospital/Institution.
• Medicines, consumables & disposables prescribed for procedures during indoor treatment will be reimbursed, subject to the certification of non-availability of such items in the AYUSH hospital by the concerned Medical Superintendent/In-charge.
• The final Medical bill shall be verified by the treating doctor and countersigned by the Medical Superintendent/ In-charge of AYUSH Government hospital on an ‘Essentiality Certificate’ duly filled and signed by the claimant.
The following Reimbursement of the indoor treatment can be availed at private empanelled AYUSH Hospitals:
• The patient availing indoor treatment in the approved/empanelled private NABH accredited AYUSH Hospitals & Entry Level NABH AYUSH Hospitals, located within or outside the State of Haryana, will be reimbursed as per the package rates fixed for NABH Accredited AYUSH Hospitals and Entry level NABH certified AYUSH Hospitals, respectively; along with room rent as per entitlement of the claimant fixed by AYUSH Department.
• The reimbursement of Ayurvedic and Unani treatment will also be allowed for the non-package procedure, for which, medicines, lab charges along with room rent fixed by the AYUSH Department will be reimbursed according to the entitlement of the beneficiary of the State Government The base rates of reimbursable Ayurvedic and Unani medicines shall be the rates fixed or as amended from time to time by IMPCL (a Central Government PSU) or actual rate (whichever is less) will be reimbursable.
