The Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on April 28, 2023, issued a notification regarding monitoring of the construction projects of ESIC and submission of fortnightly reports.
The Ministry of Labour and Employment is now taking frequent reviews of ongoing projects of ESIC and it is observed that coordination between ESIC field offices and construction agencies is not satisfactory, as a result, completion of construction projects is getting delayed.
For effective monitoring of projects, Regional Directors have already been directed to set up and operationalize Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) for each project as per para 7.2 of Broad Guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures for construction of new Projects in ESIC by CPWD/PSUs(SOP), Accordingly, list of zone-wise construction projects of ROS/SROS and projects at land allotment stage is enclosed herewith for monitoring of individual projects in coordination with RDS/SRO (ICs) as per the instructions issued from Hqrs. office from time to time for the timely completion of projects.
