The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) on May 02, 2023, issued a notification stating that PAN must be linked to Aadhaar by June 30, 2023.
The following has been stated namely: -
• This is in continuation of the circular dated March 23, 2023, which states that the PAN allotted to a person shall become inoperative if it is not linked with30- Aadhaar by March 31, 2023, and shall be liable to all the consequences under the Income-tax Act, 1961 for not furnishing, intimating, or quoting the PAN.
• The date to link Pan with Aadhaar has been extended to June 30, 2023.
