The Department of Telecommunication (DoT) on May 09, published a notification regarding the Internet Telephony Apps owned by UL or UL-VNO Licensees
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that Internet Telephony is a licensed activity that is governed by the various clauses of Chapter VIII (Access Service) and IX (Internet Service) of the UL and UL- VNO License Agreement dated January 17, 2022 Hence, all the Internet Telephony Applications (Apps) comes under the purview of license.
• It is further requested to provide the name and details of the Internet Telephony Apps launched or supported by your company within a period of one month from the date of receipt of this letter on the email- [email protected] or [email protected].
