The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MoHI) on May 09, 2023, issued the Electrical Equipment (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2023 to further amend the Electrical Equipment (Quality Control) Order, 2020.
The following has been amended namely: -
• Paragraph 2 shall be numbered as sub-paragraph (1) thereof
• After sub-paragraph (1) as so numbered, the following sub-paragraph shall be inserted, namely: -
“(2) If any product-specific requirement is mentioned in column (7) of the Table to this Order to the corresponding product category specified in column (6) of the Table, the said product-specific requirement shall apply and the Indian standards specified in column (3) shall not apply from the dates specified in column (5) thereof.”
• In paragraph 3 sub-paragraphs (1) and (2) for the words and letters “Scheme–II” wherever they occur, the words and letter “Scheme–X”, shall be substituted.
• The table has been substituted
The Enforcement date has been inserted within the table against the respective Electrical Equipment.
