The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJ&E) on May 11, 2023, issued the draft of Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Amendment) Rules, 2023 to further amend the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017.
All the persons likely to be affected and notice is hereby given that the said draft rules shall be taken into consideration after the expiry of a period of thirty days from the date on which the copies of the Official Gazette in which this notification is published are made available to the public.

The following amendment has been stated:
• In rule (15), in sub-rule (1), after clause (e), the following clause has been inserted, namely: -
“(f) Accessibility standards and guidelines for the Culture sector (Monuments/Sites/Museums and Libraries) as specified in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Culture, vide number G.S.R. 7, dated January 18, 2023”.
