The Government of Madhya Pradesh on May 12, 2023, issued a notification regarding the conditions for the notified area in favor of Manganese Ore (India) for manganese prospecting work
The following conditions have been stated namely: -
• It states that Manganese Ore (India) Limited shall intimate to the Director of Geology & Mining Madhya Pradesh for the commencement of prospecting work in the notified area.
• The period of prospecting work shall remain 1 year 6 Months subject to further extension after approval of the Government of Madhya Pradesh, Mineral Resource Department.
• The Manganese Ore (India) Limited shall undertake prospecting operations in accordance with provisions of the Mines (Evidence of Mineral Contents) Rules, 2015, and shall submit a detailed prospecting report within the stipulated framework of time work, if the applied mineral or new minerals existence is proved in the notified area, then the Manganese Ore (India) Limited shall comply with the conditions mentioned under tripartite Memo of Understanding Agreement dated October 27, 2016
• The Manganese Ore (India) Limited shall work with necessary permissions obtained from the land owners.
• If the prospecting work shall be carried out in the forest land, No Objection Certificate / Permission shall be obtained from the forest department.
• Prospecting work shall not be carried out in the restricted areas.
• This notification shall not affect, legally granted or applied mineral concession areas.
• If other government departments like the Geological Survey of India or Atomic Mineral Division etc., intend to work in the prospecting area, Manganese Ore (India) Limited shall not affect their work.
• Duly Cooperation shall be provided by concerning district Collector / Divisional Forest Officer / Mining officer or any other government officer for such work.
•Information on the commencement of the work shall be provided to District Collector.
• This notification can be revoked, if any violations of the rules are found in the carrying out of the prospecting work
• The Notified area has been mentioned in the Table attached.
