The University Grants Commission (UGC) on May 16, 2023, issued the Activities to be undertaken by HEIs in the run-up to World Environment Day, June 05, 2023.
The following has been stated namely: -
• An illustrative list of activities that can be considered by the Higher Education Institutions starting from May 2023 till June 05, 2023, is enclosed as Annexure I. A few of them are namely: -
1. Awareness workshops regarding sustainable practices and Mission LiFE and also promoting LIFE actions.
2. Making College and University Campuses Plastic-free
3. Creating fewer paper or Digital Campuses to avoid the use of paper
• HEIs are to upload the detailed plan of the proposed activities and geotagged photos/videos of activities undertaken on the Meri LiFE portal
