The Government of Bihar on May 15, 2023, issued a notification to ban all types of Commercial Vehicles older than 15 years in Gaya and Muzaffarpur Municipal Corporation area with effect from October 01, 2023.
The State Government in the interest of public safety and convenience banned all types of commercial vehicles older than 15 years, which emit relatively more polluting gases and PM - 2.5 (Particulate Matter), resulting in dangerous pollution resulting from unlimited adverse health of all citizens.
Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed at important places to inform the people affected by this ban through prior information.
