The Government of Kerala on May 19, 2023, notified that the Food entrepreneurs manufacturing and repacking food items are required to submit their annual return on May 31 of every year.
A fine of Rs.100/- per day shall be imposed on those who fail to file the annual return on time. Manufacturers will not be able to renew their FSSAI license in future years without submitting the annual return on time. Annual returns (foscos.fssai.gov.in) can be submitted via Manufacturers and resellers of food items are required to submit inspection reports of food items (tested by NABL approved lab) through the portal once in 6 months.
