Labour Compliance The Government of Assam on May 17, 2023, issued a notification of the rate of VDA to be paid to workmen employed by and through contractors.

The rates are fixed on the 100% rise on average all India Consumer Price Index (base 2001-100) for the period July 2022 (CPI Points 374.112) to December 2022 (CPI Points 381.024).

Now it is hereby, notified that as per calculation done by the director of Economics and Statistics, Assam the following VDA shall be payable to the following categories in the table attached with effect from January 01, 2023.
