The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MoHI) on May 21, 2023, issued amendments in the Scheme for Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles in India Phase II (FAME India Phase II).
The following amendments have been stated:
• Sub-paragraph 20 (i) will be amended as:
Para 20 (i): For electric 2-wheelers (e-2W), the demand Incentive will be @ Rs. 10,000/- per kWh.
• Sub-paragraph 26 (i) will be amended as:
Para 26 (i): The cap on incentives for electric 2-wheelers (e-2W) will be 15% of the ex-factory price of vehicles.
The amendments are made with effect from June 01, 2023, and would be applicable to all electric two-wheelers (e-2W) registered on or after June 01, 2023.
