The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) on May 22, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Aadhaar authentication of enterprises shall be performed, on a voluntary basis, using a Yes/No authentication facility, during the process of registration of owners of informal micro-enterprises on its digital platform, to facilitate access for availing of priority sector lending.
The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises submitted a proposal to the Central Government and the Central Government vide its communication dated March 28, 2023, has authorized the MSME to perform Aadhaar authentication.
This notification will come into effect from May 22, 2023.
