The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on May 22, 2023, issued a notification to amend Chapter 30 of Schedule 2 of the ITC (HS) Export Policy related to the export of Cough Syrup w.e.f. June 01, 2023.
The following revised policy has been stated:
Cough Syrup shall be permitted to be exported subject to the export sample being tested and the production of a Certificate of Analysis (COA) issued by any of the following laboratories:
Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh
o CDL, Kolkata, West Bengal CDTL, Chennai, Tamil Nadu
o CDTL, Mumbai, Maharashtra
o CDTL, Hyderabad, Telangana
o RDTL, Chandigarh
o RDTL, Guwahati, Assam
o Any NABL accredited State Drugs Testing Laboratory
This notification will come into effect from June 01, 2023.
