Kerala Govt. reduced the E-Invoice Applicability limit to Rs.5 Crore from August 01, 2023

Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Government of Kerala on May 18, 2023, issued a notification to state that a registered person whose aggregate turnover in a financial year exceeds five crore rupees, as a class of registered person shall prepare an invoice and other prescribed documents in respect of the supply of goods or services or both to a registered person should prepare invoices from August 01, 2023.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Traders who are liable for taking invoices should do the invoicing before the goods are moved.

• The e-invoice portal https://envoice1.gst.gov.in should be registered and get the credentials before August 01, 2023

• Merchants who have user credentials in the e-way bill portal can log in to the e-invoicing portal using the same user id and password.

• If the e-invoicing liable trader does not prepare this invoice, the recipient will not be entitled to input tax credit.
