The Government of Madhya Pradesh on May 19, 2023, issued a draft amendment to Madhya Pradesh Motoryan Karadhan Adhiniyam, 1991.
The following has been amended-
•In item VI, after sub-item (b), the "(c) vehicles operating in Madhya Pradesh on permits issued from other states as private service vehicle Rs. 200 per seat per month sub-item shall be inserted.
•In item VII, (a) for the words "EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE BUS", the words "EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION BUS/SCHOOL BUS" shall be substituted.
•In second schedule item 4C and 7A stands omitted.
•Third schedule Motor vehicle tax payable on vehicles in possession of a manufacturer or dealer under trade certificate is substituted.
Any objection or suggestions which may be received from any person with respect to the said draft of amendments on or before the expiry of the period of 30 days shall be considered.
