Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying (MoFAHD) on May 22, 2023, issued a notification regarding the amendment to the Veterinary Council of India (Procedure for recognition and de-recognition of Veterinary Colleges and Veterinary Qualifications) Rules, 2017

The following has been amended namely: -

• In the First Schedule to the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, under the sub-heading “Degrees”-

 a) serial number 92 shall be renumbered as serial number 92(i)

 b) after serial number 92(i) as so renumbered and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted namely: - 

 “(ii) Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in respect of students admitted to Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Rajiv Gandhi South Campus Barkachha during the year 2017-2018 onward, Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, B.V.Sc., and A.H. (This qualification shall be a recognized veterinary qualification only when granted on or after the 15th February 2022.)”
