Industry Specific Compliance The Ministry of Coal (MoC) on May 29, 2023, issued the Coal Mines (Special Provisions) (Amendment) Rules, 2023 to further amend the Coal Mines (Special Provisions) Rules, 2014.

The following amendment has been stated:

• In rule 10 which specifies ‘Auction’, in sub-rule (4), in clause (c), in sub-clause (iii), for the words “bid security in the form of bank guarantee”, the words “provide bid security” has been substituted.

They shall come into force on May 29, 2023.
