The Government of Goa on May 30, 2023, issued the Goa Ports (Amendment) Rules, 2023 to further amend the Goa Ports Rules, 1983.
The following has been amended:
In rule 54A, for sub-rule (1), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:—
“(1) No Government riverine land shall be used for any purpose by any person without prior written permission of the Captain of Ports and without making advance payment of rental charges as specified in the Schedule.
The Schedule specifies the Nature of use and Charges per sq. mtr. per month in Rupees.
They shall come into force on May 30, 2023.
