The Government of Kerala on May 30, 2023, issued a notification regarding the last Opportunity to renew Aadhaar card for free till June 14, 2023.
Those who have not done any renewal of their Aadhaar cards taken 10 years ago have an opportunity to renew online for free till June 14.
The document can be updated after logging in with an Aadhaar number only those whose mobile number is linked with Aadhaar can use the online system.
Mobile number and email should be entered in Aadhaar to quickly avail of Aadhaar services. Those who have not provided mobile numbers and e-mail in their Aadhaar so far or those whose mobile numbers and e-mail have changed in their existing Aadhaar can be updated through Akshaya Aadhaar Kendras.
Aadhaar should also be enrolled for newborns, Biometric information is not collected for the Aadhaar enrollment of children below 5 years of age. The child's birth certificate and Aadhaar of one of the parents are sufficient for registration. Children's biometrics must be compulsorily renewed at 5 years and 15 years. Mandatory biometric renewal at age 5 within seven years and mandatory biometric renewal at age 15 within 17 years to avail of free renewal facility. Otherwise, a fee of Rs 100 is payable for mandatory biometric renewal. This service can also be done through Akshaya Aadhaar Centers by paying ₹ 50.
