The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on June 01, 2023, issued a notification to fix a date from which the medical benefit will be extended to the families of insured persons in the entire areas of Kavaratti, Agatti and Minicoy Islands in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It has fixed May 01, 2023, as the date from, which the medical benefit under the Lakshadweep Employees' State Insurance (Medical Benefit) Rules, 2023 shall be provided to the families of insured persons in the entire areas of Kavaratti, Agatti, and Minicoy Islands, in addition to the already notified areas of the said districts, in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep.
