Labour ComplianceThe Government of Goa on May 30, 2023, issued the revised minimum rates of wages in various Scheduled Employment on the basis of the average Consumer Price.

The following has been stated namely: -

• This is for the preceding period of six months i.e. July 2022, to December 2022, reaching 379 from 269 (Base 2001=100) and thereby resulting in the increase of 110 points for Industrial Workers. 

• The rate of Variable Dearness Allowance so calculated is Rs. 105/- per day.

• The categories of employees are namely: -

1. Employment in Saw Mills

2. Employment in Breweries and Distilleries

3. Employment in Pharmaceutical in Pharmaceutical industry and Units engaged in the manufacture, sale, and distribution of medicines and pharmaceutical products

4. Employment in Cinema Exhibition Industry

5. Employment in Watch and Ward

6. Employment in processing and canning of foodstuff including fish and beverages.

 

This is effective from April 01, 2023
