The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) on June 08, 2023, issued a notification to fix the price of certain drugs.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The table with the Name of the Formulation / Brand Name, Strength, Unit, Manufacturer & Marketing Company, and Retail Price has been stated. A Few Formulations are: -
1. Hydrochloride (ER) Tablets
2. Telmisartan, Chlorthalidone & Cilnidipine tablets
3. Amoxycillin and Potassium Clavulanate Oral Suspension IP
• The manufacturer shall fix the retail price as specified in column (6) of the table
• The manufacturer may add Goods and Services Tax only if they have paid actually or it is payable to the Government on the retail price.
• The retail price for a pack of the aforesaid formulation shall be arrived at by the concerned manufacturer in accordance with the retail price specified.
