The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) on June 08, 2023, issued a notification regarding all programmes telecast on private satellite TV channels are required to adhere to the Programme Code prescribed under the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995 and the rules framed thereunder. The Ministry issues advisory to all private TV channels from time to time to abide by the provisions of the said codes.
All TV channels are advised to abide by the provisions of the Programme Code scrupulously, show due caution, responsibility, and sensitivity and refrain from telecasting any unverified content while reporting incidents.
