The Government of Goa on June 08, 2023, published the Business of the Government of Goa (Allocation) (Forty-sixth Amendment) Rules, 2023 to further amend the Business of the Government of Goa (Allocation) Rules, 1987
This shall come into force on June 08, 2023
The following has been amended namely: -
• The Schedule appended to the Rules the following shall be amended namely: -
(i) At serial number 5, under the heading “Department of Education and Art & Culture”, for clause (e), the following clause shall be substituted, namely: -
“(e) Museum.”
(ii) after serial number 52, the following shall be inserted, namely: -
“53. Department of Goa Gazetteer and Historical Records:
(a) Preparation of State Gazetteer, Taluka Gazetteer, and District Gazetteer for the State of Goa.
(b) Acquisition, preservation, and digitization of records related to Goa’s struggle for freedom and other manuscripts of historical importance.
(c) Legislations for conservation and management of manuscripts of the Portuguese period of historical importance and for conducting research.
(d) Translations of Portuguese records into English.
(e) Manuscript Conservation Centre.
(f) Commemoration of historical days related to Goa’s past.
(g) Setting up of Government Analytics Research Institute.”
