Industry Specific Compliance The Government of Assam on June 02, 2023, issued a notification to allow transportation of poultry through Assam to other North-Eastern States with immediate effect until further order subject to observance of SOP dated June 02, 2023.

The ban imposed earlier on the transportation of poultry to Assam will continue, however, one-day-old chicks are allowed for transportation through rail, road, and air to Assam for use by farmers in the State as there is the absence of breeding farms in the State subject to observance of SOP dated June 02, 2023.
