The University Grants Commission (UGC), on June 13, 2023, issued a notification regarding Guidelines for Incorporating Indian Knowledge System in Higher Education Curricula.
All Higher Education Institutions are requested to take necessary action for implementation of the guidelines in letter and spirit of the National Education Policy 2020 which lays emphasis on the promotion of Indian Languages, Arts and Culture, and tries to remove this discontinuity in the flow of Indian Knowledge System (lKS) by integrating IKS into curriculums at all levels of education. In order to facilitate a seamless integration o1'lndian traditional knowledge with modern subjects, the UGC has prepared Guidelines for Incorporating Indian Knowledge System (lKS) in Higher Education Curricula. The Guidelines are available on the UGC website.
