The Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) on June 14, 2023, published the Environment (Protection) fourth Amendment Rules, 2023 to further amend the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986.
These rules shall come into force on June 14, 2023.
The following has been amended namely: -
• in schedule I, in the entries against serial number 88 which states “Emission Standards for New Generator Sets (Up to 19 Kilowatt) Run On Petrol and Kerosene with Implementation Schedule.” in item “C. the General Condition”, in condition 12, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely: —
“Provided that the supply of Genset and Genset engine in respect of which purchase order has been received by the manufacturer on or before the 30th June 2023 shall be permitted upto the 30th June 2024 as per the norms defined in this condition.”
