The Ministry of Textiles on June 20, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Jute Packaging Materials (Compulsory Use in Packing Commodities) Act, 1987.
The Central Government has made amendments to the Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Textiles, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, sub-Section (ii) vide number S.O. 1532(E), dated March 31, 2023.
The following amendments are stated-
In the said Order, in the Preamble, in paragraph 4, for the words, figures, and letters “up to the 30th June 2023”, the words, figures, and letters “up to the 30th September 2023 or until further orders, whichever is earlier” shall be substituted.
