The Government of Goa on June 21, 2023, proposed the draft Goa Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2023 to amend the Goa Motor Vehicles Rules, 1991.
The amendment is as follows –
•Insertion of new rule 121A, after rule 121 the 121A Parking slots at Manohar International Airport. — Consent from GMR Goa International Airport Ltd. for providing parking slots/pickup bays at Manohar International Airport at Mopa shall be sufficient for the issuance of permits by the Regional Transport Authority rule shall be inserted.
•Insertion of new rule 158A after rule 158, the 158A Painting and marking of motor cabs. — Motor cabs attached to blue cab Prepaid Taxi Service at Manohar International Airport at Mopa shall be painted in blue colour and Regional Transport Authority and the rest of the body in white colour shall be inserted.
Objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby are invited within fifteen days from the date of publication of the said Notification.
This shall come into force on June 21, 2023.
