The Government of Himachal Pradesh on June 20. 2023 published the Development Plan Shimla Planning Area, 2041
This shall come into force on July 20, 2023
The following has been stated namely: -
• The development plan is prepared considering AMRUT objectives namely: -
(i) To Ensure that every household has access to a tap with an assured supply of water and a sewerage connection.
(ii) To Increase the amenity value of cities by developing greenery and well-maintained open spaces (e.g. parks).
(iii) To reduce pollution by switching to public transport or constructing facilities for non-motorized transport (e.g. walking and cycling). One purpose of the Mission is to improve governance through a set of Reforms. During the Mission period, 11 Reforms will be implemented, of which the Preparation of a Development Plan using GIS is one of the most important reforms.
• The scope of the project has been stated as follows namely: -
(i) Inception Report 16 Development Plan, Shimla Planning Area, 2041
(ii) Spatial Attribute collection and vetting of Base map
(iii) Data Analysis Report
(iv) Projected Requirements, Issues, and Potentials
(v) Draft Development Plan
(vi) Development Plan
