The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on June 21, 2023, notified regarding the date of establishment and withdrawal of Wrought Aluminium and Aluminium Alloys.
The following Indian Standards were established on June 19, 2023:
• IS 1285: 2023 Wrought Aluminium and Aluminium Alloys — Extruded Round Tube and Hollow Sections for General Engineering Purposes — Specification (Fourth Revision)
• IS 1536: 2023 Centrifugally Cast (Spun) Iron Pressure Pipes for Water, Gas and Sewage — Specification (Fifth Revision)
• IS 9997: 2023 Aluminium Alloy Redraw Rods for Electrical Purposes — Specification (Second Revision)
The following Indian Standards will be withdrawn on December 19, 2023:
• IS 1285: 2002 Wrought Aluminium and Aluminium Alloys — Extruded Round Tube and Hollow Sections for General Engineering Purposes — Specification (Third Revision)
• IS 1536: 2001 Centrifugally Cast (Spun) Iron Pressure Pipes for Water, Gas, and Sewage — Specification (Fourth Revision)
