The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on June 22, 2023, issued the Amendment in the Export Policy of HS Code 2610 which states Chromium Ores and Concentrates.
The following has been stated: -
• The Export of the following has been revised to being restricted and can only be Export is only permitted under Authorisation:
1. 2610 – Chromium Ores and Concentrates
a. 26100010 – Chrome ore lumps, containing 47% Cr2O3 and above
b. 26100020 – Chrome ore lumps containing 40% or more but less than 47% Cr2O3
c. 26100030 – Chrome ore lumps below 40% Cr2O3
d. 26100040 – Chrome ore friable and concentrates fixes containing 47% Cr2O3 and above
e. 26100090 – Other
This shall come into force on June 22, 2023.
