The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on June 26, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Format of Compliance Report on Governance for InvITs.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The investment manager has to submit a quarterly compliance report on governance to the recognized stock exchange(s) within twenty-one days from the end of each quarter, this shall be signed either by the compliance officer or the chief executive officer of the investment manager.
• The Formats of the Compliance Report on Governance have been attached to the Annex as follows: -
1. Annex – 1: Within twenty-one days from the end of each quarter
2. Annex – II: Within twenty-one days from the end of the financial year on an annual basis
3. Annex – III: Within three months from the end of the financial year on an annual basis.
• The investment manager of the InvIT shall submit the compliance report on governance in the prescribed format to the stock exchanges within the timelines as specified.
• This circular shall come into force with effect from the financial year 2023-24 onwards. The first report shall be made for the quarter ending June 30, 2023.
