The Ministry of Power (MoP) on June 27, 2023, issued a notification regarding the particulars displayed on labels.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The self-ballasted LED lamps for general lighting services having rated power from 3 watts to 35 watts, that work on single phase alternating current supply up to and including 250V, 50 Hz is specified by the Central Government in consultation with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency
• It is directed that any such appliances or class of appliances being manufactured or sold or purchased or imported for sale shall display particulars on labels in such manner, as specified in the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Labels of Self-ballasted LED Lamps), Regulations, 2023.
