The Ministry of Power(MoP) on June 28, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Draft Electricity (Amendment) Rules, 2023 to further amend the Electricity Rules, 2005.
In the Rules, after Rule 21, the following Rules shall be inserted, namely: -
• Rule 22 talks about the Establishment, operation, and maintenance of dedicated transmission lines.
• Rule 23 Which deals with the Open Access Charges.
• Rule 24 Deals with the Gap between the approved Annual Revenue Requirement (ARR)and estimated annual revenue from the approved tariff.
