The Foods Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on July 03, 2023, issued a notification inviting Public Comments on (i) the Method for determination of Iron, Vitamin B9 & Vitamin B12 in Vitamin Mineral Premix for Preparation of Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK) (ii) Method for the determination of Iron in Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK) by AAS and (iii)Method for determination of Iodine and Iron in Double Fortified Salt (DFS) and Phosphorus in Fortified Salt
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the comments/views/suggestions of the stakeholders are solicited on the following namely: -
(i) the Method for determination of Iron, Vitamin B9 & Vitamin B12 in Vitamin Mineral Premix for Preparation of Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK)
(ii) Method for the determination of Iron in Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK) by AAS
(iii) Method for determination of Iodine and Iron in Double Fortified Salt (DFS) and Phosphorus in Fortified Salt.
• The comments/suggestions if any should be furnished to FSSAI in the prescribed format (Annexure-I) within a period of 30 days of the publication of this notice on the website through email ([email protected])
• It is to be noted that only such comments/suggestions would be taken into consideration as are furnished with supporting scientific evidence.
