The Labour Department, Tripura on June 16, 2023, issued a notification regarding the revision of the VDA of workers engaged in the employment of Construction or Maintenance of Roads or in Building Operations.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that The Variable Dearness Allowance shall be payable with effect from April 01, 2023, by the employers to the workers/employees employed in the a-foresaid employment as per the following schedule attached to the Table
• It has revised the VDA of the following workers based on the following category namely: -
(i) Highly Skilled
(ii) Skilled
(iii) Semi-skilled
(iv) Unskilled
• It states that to arrive at daily rates of wages the monthly rate shall be divided by 26 and rounded off to the next rupee.
• It states that The overtime rate shall be double the ordinary rate of minimum wages
