The Labour Department, Tripura on June 16, 2023, issued a notification regarding the revision of the VDA of workers engaged in the employment of Cooperative Stores and Societies including Large Size Multipurpose Cooperative Society (LAMPS), Primary Marketing Cooperative Society (PMCS), and Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS)
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that The Variable Dearness Allowance shall be payable with effect from April 01, 2023, by the employers to the workers/employees employed in the a-foresaid employment as per the following schedule attached to the Table
• It has revised the VDA of the following workers based on the following category namely: -
1. Cooperative Stores and Societies including Large Size Multipurpose Cooperative Society (LAMPS)
(i) Group C
(ii) Group D
2. Primary Marketing Cooperative Society (PMCS)
(i) Group C
(ii) Group D
3. Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS)
(i) Group C
(ii) Group D
• It states that to arrive at daily rates of wages the monthly rate shall be divided by 26 and rounded off to the next rupee.
• It states that The overtime rate shall be double the ordinary rate of minimum wages
