The Employees State Insurance Corporation(ESIC) on June 30, 2023, issued a notification regarding the date for claiming medical benefits under the Employees State Insurance Act, 1948 in the State of Bihar.
The following has been stated: -
•It has fixed June 01, 2023, as the date on which the medical benefit is laid down in the said Regulation 95-A which states “Exemptions to be either prospective or retrospective” and the Bihar Employees' State Insurance (Medical Benefit) Rules, 1958 shall be extended to the families of insured persons in the areas of Arwal, Jamui, Kaimur, Khagaria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Madhubani, Nawada, Purnia, Sheikhpura and West Champaran, in addition to the already notified areas of the districts, in the State of Bihar.
