The Labour Department, Tripura on June 16, 2023, issued a notification regarding the revision in the VDA for the different categories of workers engaged in the employment of private Security Guard
The following has been stated namely:
• The Variable Dearness Allowance shall be payable with effect from April 01, 2023, by the employers to the workers/employees employed in the aforesaid employment as per the schedule attached
• It has fixed the Variable Dearness Allowance based on the following categories namely: -
(i) Skilled
(ii) Semi-skilled
(iii) Unskilled
• It states that the overtime rate shall be double the ordinary rates of wages.
• The minimum rates of wages are applicable to employees employed by contractors also.
• The men and women employees shall get the same rates of wages for the same work or work of similar nature.
