The Government of West Bengal on June 28, 2023, mandated the National Transit Pass System (NTPS) for inter-state transport of round timber and sawn timber from West Bengal on and from July 01, 2023.
Both online systems through NTPS and offline systems i.e. manual system of issuance of Transit Pass will be available for intra-state movement of round timber and sawn timber till September 30, 2023.
The existing offline system of Transit Pass will be followed for the movement of the tinger of foreign origin, NTFP items, and boulders/ sand/ RBM till further order.
