The Government of Tamil Nadu on July 12, 2023, issued a notification regarding amendments to the Tamil Nadu Tax on Consumption or Sale of Electricity Rules, 2003.
The amendment is as follows: -
•Rule 5 which talks about the registration procedure has been amended.
•Rule 10 which talks about the Installation of Meters to Measure the Quantity of Electricity for Own Consumption or Sale of Surplus Electricity to others has been amended.
•Rule 12 which talks about the Procedure for Refund has been amended.
