The Government of Karnataka on July 10, 2023, notified the Draft Karnataka Excise (Excise Duties and Fees) (Amendment) Rules, 2023 further to amend the Karnataka Excise (Excise Duties and Fees) Rules, 1968.
The amendment is as follows: -
•An amendment is made in the Schedule-D of the Karnataka Excise (Excise Duties and Fees) Rules, 1968 which specifies the name of the article along with the price range and the excise duty on it.
They shall come into force with effect from July 20, 2023.
And it is informed to all persons likely to be affected to submit any objections or suggestions before the expiry of a period of seven days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
